Two Marie Curie PhD fellowships in Nonlinear Dynamics – Complex Systems are available at the Computational Neuroscience Lab. of the Institute of Complex Systems (ISC), CNR, Florence, Italy within the FP7 Initial Training Network – Neural Engineering Transformative Technologies (NETT) starting on 1st January, 2013.

The 2 PhD positions deal with Computational Neuroscience
1. Emergence of collective dynamics in scale-free neuronal networks (ESR14) (supervisor Dr. A. Torcini)
2. Measures of spike train synchrony (ESR15) (supervisor Dr T. Kreuz)
Gross Salary per annum: 42,028 euros (Living Allowance) plus 9,290- 13,272 euros (Mobility Allowance) depending on circumstances

Required titles: MSc in Physics or Mathematics or Engineering obtained after Oct 2008
