Rolls Lab

In the Rolls lab, we study neuronal cell biology as well as neuronal responses to injury, including degeneration and regeneration. We are particularly interested in mechanisms that control microtubule polarity in axons and dendrites, as well as molecular machinery that facilitates positive responses to axon and dendrite injury.
A Fellow in the lab would work with the PI to develop a project within these broad areas. The lab currently uses genetics and live imaging strategies in Drosophila. This system offers the ability to rapidly test hypotheses, and is also inexpensive
