The position is available immediately and will be closed when a suitable candidate is found.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The position is funded within the framework of the <b>Euratrans project<\/b> (European large-scale functional genomics in the rat for translational research; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.euratrans.eu\/\">www.euratrans.eu<\/a>). The project uses state-of-the-art and emerging large-scale technologies and advanced computation in an expanded multi-disciplinary approach to identify gene networks and genomic mechanisms underlying common diseases. <span>&nbsp;<\/span>The work will be performed in the laboratory &ldquo;Transcriptional Regulation of Genomes&rdquo; headed by Dr Michel Werner.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> <\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Within this project, the post-doctoral fellow will investigate the genome-wide distribution of RNA polymerase II and transcription factors in tissues of rat inbred lines to discover epigenetic variations that might relate to predisposition to diseases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and functional genomics. Prior knowledge in the analysis of high throughput sequencing data will be an advantage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The laboratory is located southwest of <b>Paris<\/b> (<b>France<\/b>).
